The Blaby and Harborough SSP was launched in 2004 and is part of a national network working to improve opportunities for ALL young people to access high quality PE and school sport.

The Blaby and Harborough SSP is made up of 54 schools (45 primary, 6 high schools and 3 upper schools), centred around the hubsite Countesthorpe Community College.

Within each school there is a staff member tasked with leading on developing PE and School Sport within their own school and family of schools.  In secondary schools these are known as School Sports Co-ordinators (SSCos), and in primary schools as Primary Link Teachers (PLTs).  These are funded through the School Sports Partnership.  We also employ a team of professional sports coaches who support the provision of PE and school sport in our schools.
