‘Design a Mascot’ Competition
The Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games Local Organising Committee (LOC) is running an open competition for all schools across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland to design a ‘School Games Mascot’ for the Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games.
The winning design will be manufactured into a full-size mascot and will become the official Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games Mascot for the next 3 years. It will be launched at the School Games Championships on Tuesday 10th July 2012 at Leicester Grammar School.
How to Enter:
To enter the competition, simply draw your mascot design on a piece of A4 paper as large as possible, with as much detail as possible regarding the design and colours. Please ensure your design is as clear as possible.
All school entries should be sent to your partnership School Games Organiser (SGO), where a winning design will be selected by a local committee.
The 10 winning partnership designs will then be assessed by the Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games Local Organising Committee (LOC) to decide on the overall winning entry, which will then be manufactured.
Themes:
The theme of the mascot should be linked to one or more of the following criteria:
- Sport
- Olympics / Paralympics
- Competition
- Inclusion
- School Games Values – Excellence, Determination, Honesty, Passion, Respect, Self-Belief, Teamwork.

Timelines:
School entries must be submitted to your partnership School Games Organiser (SGO) by Friday 30th March 2012.
The 10 winning partnership area designs must be submitted to the LOC by Friday 27th April 2012.
